Shakespeare in Sutton – FOLIO’s fun festival for all
Grab your phone, compact or DSLR camera and start snapping! We want to celebrate your fun, beautiful, unusual and interesting photos of Sutton Park as part of Shakespeare in Sutton – FOLIO’s fun festival for all in April 2022.
All shortlisted entries will be digitally displayed in Sutton Coldfield Library during the festival and winners will receive an art print of their winning entry (60 x40cm) and a postcard pack featuring the 6 best entries to the competition.
Shakespeare is said to have been inspired by Gum Slade in Sutton Park when writing A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Using this as the starting point, we invite you to visit Sutton Park, be inspired by some of Shakespeare’s writing about trees and nature, and to enjoy taking photos.
There are two categories for this competition – (a) Photos taken by children and young people aged 15 or under and (b) photos taken by people aged 16 or over.
Deadline for entries Midnight, Sunday 27 March 2022.
The title for this competition, “This green plot shall be our stage”, is a line taken from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
