The club is free, and whilst we know sometimes life takes over, booking is for the 4 week course. Code Club is being facilitated by FOLIO Sutton Coldfield and is being run by a two young volunteers who previously attended a Code Club at Sutton Library. If your child is 8 or over, they may attend on their own, or their adults/carers may wish to stay in the library (perhaps enjoying a coffee and cake in our cafe at the same time!). FOLIO Sutton Coldfield is delighted to bring you a monthly Family History Help Desk, in conjunction with Nuneaton and North Warwickshire Family History Society. Please PREBOOK to guarantee time with our highly experience Family History volunteer (there is no cost to book a slot). There are 6 guaranteed slots available each month. If you drop in to the library for these sessions without booking our volunteer will be happy to help you if she has no visitors who have pre-booked a session. If you arrive and our volunteer is busy, please say hello so she knows you would like to talk to her, but then do feel free to make use of our café whilst you wait. When you book your ticket you will be asked to indicate the time you are likely to arrive (between 1 and 3) at the help desk. Help desk sessions have usual library facilities for computers and Ancestry.co.uk. The experienced and friendly family historian volunteering at the help desk can assist in getting you started with family history research, chipping away at brick walls, and a whole variety of research techniques. If possible, please come with any details relating to your family history research that will help (such as names, dates/places of birth). Attending the Family History Help Desk is FREE. If you need to print documents during this session, usual library printing fees will apply.
